ABITARE is a 6,000 square feet store located in the core of the Design District of Miami, showing some of the most prestigious Italian design brands, being their exclusive dealer in Florida. The ambience of the showroom is fascinating, the presentation of the products is always up to date and accurate, rich of details and selected accessories.
Abitare has a strong image identity, coming from the dynamic personality and many-sided skills of its owner, Nicola, and from a long family tradition in the furniture business in Italy.

It has been a long story.
It has been an Italian story of family business:
1937: from a workshop of springs and mattresses the transformation into a new business of furniture trade, made by Luciano Martelli , Nicola's grandfather, and his brother.
1957: The first big store was built
1960: The Company is the first one in Italy to import pieces of furniture from Denmark: it is the first introduction of the idea of a modern design style in home decoration:
1967: Modern style has its first official presentation at the "Saloni" at the International Trade Fair in Milan. The Luciano Martelli Company is one of the pioneers of the new style:
1978 : A new store is opened in Novara with the innovative idea for Italy to give more importance to accessories and life style.
1992 : Another store is opened in Borgomanero. A new loft style in the historical centre of a small ancient town.
1997: It's time for a new generation to come in and this is how the story goes on………

1998 An American adventure begins.
Nicola leaves Italy to follow his dream, to start his own business, supported and encouraged by his family, but building himself the success of his future.
The first store is opened on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables.

2001 The decision to move into a bigger space in the Design District . Business grows bigger and bigger and the organization gets more complicated but at the same time more efficient The connection with the Italian Company is now very important to guarantee the best service for the customer satisfaction.
2006 the enthusiasm is still the same, the experience of the American Market is stronger. The future has just started.
